Hi all,

What a lekker topic!
Jacqueline, traditionally we would have had a garlic-stuffed leg of lamb,
rice with
rich gravy, roasted chicken, baked potatoes, pumpkin with sugar and
cinnamon,
green beans with potatoes and onions, and a baked pudding made with flour,
apricot jam, brown sugar, ginger, clove, cinnamon and nuts, under a thick
custard.

However...we had a salmon mousse, green salad with freshly gathered walnut
bits,
slices of smoked ham, boiled eggs AND thin pannekoeke sprinkled with sugar
and
cinnamon. Of course there was chocolate for my children and marzipan for
their German
grandmother/great-grandmother too.

Regards,
Elsie Zinsser
