Toads and frogs

Is that the same sort of thing as dove and pigeon? The romance languages do
not distinguish between doves and pigeons (at least the winged rats called
European rock doves that infest our desert). Doves and pigeons are basically
the same bird except for their size according to the ornithologists.

Hi, Ben!

In both Low Saxon and German you do not normally distinguish between
"pigeon" and "dove." Both are _duuv'_ (< _duve_) and _Taube_ respectively
(plural _duven_ and _Tauben_ respectively). You'd have to elaborate by
mentioning the type to make a difference.

Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
