Hi all,

Marsha, Coin reminds me of the Afrikaner name Koen, which is normally
pronounced [kun], but by some Afrikaners as Cohen.

Hi - I used to have a Jewish friend whose parents were from Poland, and he
had visited there frequently.  He swore to me my maiden name of Coin was
pronounced the same as Cohen in the Yiddish of Poland.
