Reply to Jonny's

weyt Ji, wat eyn _Doysbaddel_, _Döösbaddel_ is? Or 'n _Dummbatz_?

There is an American word batty = "moderately crazy, very strange"
probably related to the word dumbat (Spelling?) who is somebody who is
pleasantly dumb.

For the other words, I have no idea, but it sound like "douche bag",
which is a pejorative way to describe a sleazy (usually male) person.

Does Girn also lead to modern English yearn? They sound similar, but their
roots may be totally different.
