Leyve Lowlanners, Reynhard,

(English below)

'Wishi-washi-Wourd', is eyder 'larifari':

Dat meynt mennig wat, un' ick will eyn poor Byspeel'n geven:

1. 'De Oulen seeten lemmig op dat Soufa.': E: 'The old people sat relaxed on
the sofa.'; G: 'Die alten Herrschaften saßen entspannt auf dem Sofa.'

2. ' De Vagel plustert sick lemmig opp in't Buuer.': E: 'The bird
????plusters??? its feathers in its cage.'; G: : 'Der Vogel im Bauer
plustert seine Federn mit Wohlbehagen auf.'

3. 'Vandoog hevvt wy eyn lemmig Witterung.': E: 'Today the wheather is
well-balanced, equable.'; G: ' Sehr angenehmes Wetter, heute.'

$. 'Hey blivvt jymmer lemmig.': E: 'He always keeps cool.'; G: 'Er lässt

aehnlich is: Oul-Germaansch (OS, OHG, OE, OF): 'l'mmian, lemmen, lama,

vandoog bruuken?

Greutens/Regards

Johannes "Jonny" Meibohm
