I was there once, and it is a delightful, wonderful reminder of the direct 
links Irish people had and have with the European continent. Too often these 
days continental Europeans think of Irish people as "Anglos" and too often 
Irish people interpret continental Europe via English mediation. The result 
is helpful to neither.
