Sorry Ingmar, but i think that this is not true.
I personally love being in the Netherlands. It is a nice country with
nice people. But that doesn't mean that i do have to love their accent!
The words you pronounce  have lost a lot of their beauty.  When i look
at the Dutch television to programs  from the sixties and earlier, i
don't hear that terrible accent. So this is quiet a new phenomenon.
And the last generations of Flemings are far away from having an
inferiority-complex.

This is why it would be beneficial for all concerned to have at least a 
Belgian Standard Dutch sound file and a Randstad Dutch sound file with the 
Standard Dutch version of our anniversary presentation 
(http://www.lowlands-l.net/anniversary/), in addition to Barbara's Eastern 
Netherlands version 
(http://www.lowlands-l.net/anniversary/index.php?page=nederlands).

How about it, Nederlanders en Belgen?
