There is also an old group of Germans in Russia, from Katy the great's and
Peter's day. I saw a film about them about 10 years ago. Their German was very
out of date and not really fluent outside of family and farm topics. Much like
the Amish and Mennonites here (so called Pennsylvania Dutch), who are mostly Low
Saxon, Sudenten area decendants.
