Fag as a rather unfortunate meaning in Ireland, meaning one who likes those
of his own kind!

::: faghag - a girl who has prdominantly gay male friends

Tom,

The words are used in North America as well, by the way.

Sorry if it seems nitpicky or admonishing, Tom (bless you!), but I have to say
that what's unfortunate is perhaps your wording and also the intent of most
people that use the word in that sense. These days, at least, far fewer people
than in the past would use "rather unfortunate" to describe what the term
denotes. You probably didn't mean it that way.

As the disclaimer phrase goes, "some of my best friends are ..." In this case
this happens to apply to a few of my favorite people on this list as well. Or
would this make me a "fagstag"? And if it did, would I care?

Best regards and kind wishes one day before Seattle's annual Pride Parade,
Reinhard/Ron
