Haai almal,

Ron, ek sou nie enigiemand sommer 'n benaming gee nie, en dis die beste om
na enige Afrikaanstalige as "Afrikaansprekende"  ("Afrikaans speaker") te
verwys. Dit sluit mense van alle rasse in.

Twee van my vriende is Afrikaanssprekende Bruinmense en hulle vind die
"Bruin Afrikaner" benaming laf, want hulle deel nie die geskiedenis en
kultuurerfenis van die 'wit' Afrikaner nie. 'n Ander kennis is 'n
Afrikaanssprekende Kaapse Maleier (en Moeslim) en "Afrikaner" pas hom ook
nie.

Dan is daar ook Afrikaanssprekendes wat eerder as Suid Afrikaner (South
African) bekend wil wees.

Vanaf die middel 90's word daar, veral in mediakringe, gepoog om
Afrikaanssprekendes "Afrikaanses" te noem, maar dit is nog baie nuut en of
die benaming algemeen aanvaarbaar is binne alle rasse, sal mens nog moet
sien.

vir Suid-Afrikaners wat met Afrikaans as hul eerste taal opgegroei het.  Is
"Afrikaners" altyd korrek?
