From: R. F. Hahn <sassisch at yahoo.com>
 Subject: Travels

Dear Lowlanders,

I wrote earlier today about Arend's travel article:

Now this is a good example of a brief text submitted in a native language.
Arend submitted it in Drenthe Low Saxon. I processed it, added graphics to
it and then translated it into English. Versions in both languages are now
available interlinked. Furthermore, I adapted the English version for people
that are not in or from the Netherlands, and I added a "Did you know this?"
vignette at the end of it. So we started with a brief, simple chunk of text
and ended up with a substantial chunk of information, a sightseeing tip with
historical background information.

Low Saxon: lowlands-l.net/travels/papeloze_kerk.php
English: lowlands-l.net/travels/papeloze_kerk-en.php

I have added a German version because this article is of special interest to
people east of the border. The dolmen heritage is a common one on a seamless
continuum, and Arend's stomping ground is just a brief drive away from many
North German.

German: lowlands-l.net/travels/papeloze_kerk-de.php

Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
