"Rikus Kiers"  wrote asking about a song

Ron/Reinhard found it

and  Heather had a nostalgic moment recalling not Canadian scouts ( and girl
guides) but singing round the campfire in the Sussex countryside in the 50s.


The tune leapt into my head the moment I saw the refrain. I shall sing it
tomorrow to my mother, now 90, and then our Girl Guide captain. It was one
of her favourites.

Thank you both of you for a very pleasant Friday evening 'nostalge'
