Lieweheersbesie is baie interessant. Die woord 'heer' verwys nie noodwendig
na die Christelike God nie. Heer was ook gebruik as aanspreekvorm by die
aanbidders van die Songode. Dus, voor die kerstening van Europa.

Groetjies,

Petrus van Eeden

Hey Ron,

Don't forget Trojan, an Middle/ Eastern variant on Triglav (and NOT derived
from Emperor Trajan as some would put it).

I was told a while ago that the number three was a "wrong" number for the
ancient Hebrews for an odd reason that there were no 3-footed animals.
Probably other things associated for their feelings towards that number, but
am not sure.....

Hi all,

John, for what it is worth; the wildebees (or gnu) is a Bovine (genus
Connochaetes), which includes two species, both native to Africa: the Black
Wildebeest (swart wildebees) (C. gnou) and the Blue & White-bearded
Wildebees (C. taurinus).

The Bovidae, includes antelopes, cattle, goats, and other even-toed horned
ungulates.

Cheerio,

Elsie Zinsser

Cape Buffalo are "wilde bees", but antelope are not bovine / bees
