Subject: Songs

Hi, folks!

Here's a quick "Welcome back!" to our Brazilian friend Jarley Frieb (
lowlands-l.net/anniversary/jarley.php) and a few brief addenda to the song
contest announcement.

   1. If people want to band together and search for collaborators, they
   are free to send out "advertisements" on the List.
   2. The award selection process is still to be determined. Personally,
   I favor a combination of jury voting and general member voting, perhaps in a
   50-50% proportion. (Any suggestions?)
   3. The identity of authors, composers and performers will remain
   secret until after the award ceremony. Neither the jury nor the general
   membership are to be informed of the names until decisions have been made.
   (The only people in the know are those that are likely to log on to this
   account: Mathieu, Sandy and I, and are sworn to secrecy anyway, which,
   however, doesn't mean that we can't submit works.)
   4. Anyone wishing to serve on the jury may write to me.
