*Schulfach Niederdeutsch gefordert*

Nothing more than hot air, I fear.

1st: No money!
2nd: No teachers!
3d: No space left in school's timetables (only if religious education could
be canceled; that maybe a realistic possibility in Northern Germany)!
4th: No pupils! I myself would try to keep my own son away from badly
trained teachers, and many of our new citizens from Southern Europe and Asia
have got enough problems with their own languages AND with Standard German.
(BTW: a new but important minority [language] here is growing up gradually:
Turkish and its related varieties.)

Germany, complete Europe and their educational systems surely have different
and bigger problems in preparing young people for futural demands:
increasing social conflicts have to be solved, and East-Asia's
economical influence is standing 'ante portas'- not to talk about the
world-wide energy troubles the next(?) generations will have to deal with.

For those who didn't yet realise it: our planet gets divided up newly.

Low Saxon as a luxury good: yes. But Low Saxon in rivalry to vital
necessities: no!

Hopeless!
