Would it be copasetic to do an audio file of the wren in Spanish even though
I'm not native?
Ben

Subject: Anniversary

Hi, Ben!

I don't see why you should not do it. After all, that wouldn't be the first
narration by a non-native speaker.

However, even though it may be obvious to us, I now think that we should
flag such narrations as "non-native" or such, also those of old language
varieties as "hypothetical pronunciation" or something like that.

Now, I definitely think it would be nice if we got audio files for the
French, Spanish and Italian version at least, besides at least one Scots
one. And we have speakers of all of these on the List. However, audio
recordings of lesser-heard minority languages is what lots of people are
really after. So, folks, try to find people that can help us with those.

Here are the lists of translations on which those without audio files are
unmarked:

   - Chinese (simplified):

   - Chinese (traditional):

By the way, the multilingual offering of the list of contents is proving to
be very effective; it attracts people from all over the world.

By providing the list in a number of key languages we make it easier for
many people all over the world to quickly scan the the contents and select
what they are interested in.

Here for our Japanese members: If I sent him or her a draft of the table of
contents in Japanese, would someone proofread it for me?

I'm asking this because there seems to be considerable interest in these
things in Japan.

Of course, it would be great to have an Arabic version as well. Any
volunteers?

Thanks.
Reinhard/Ron
