Another Maryland-ism: downy ocean.

As in, "We're going downy ocean next week."  It's a highly contracted form
of "down to the ocean".

As far as "back home" is concerned, there's the song "Back Home Again in
Indiana."

We might say "ower" (over) for journeys across a few hills or over a river:

I've heard Appalachian speakers say "over town" where others would say
"(in)to town." Could this be related?
