From: R. F. Hahn <sassisch at yahoo.com>
Subject: Travels

On February 10, our Roger Thijs shared with us some historical information
about Steenokkerzeel, a place in his neck of the Belgian woods. With a
little gentle "inspiration" from me, he converted this into a web page
presentation for our Travels series (lowlands-l.net/travels/).
http://lowlands-l.net/travels/steenokkerzeel.php

I'm sure you'll all agree that it turned out splendid and that Roger's
thoroughness definitely shows through. Why, I suspect he even went around
taking photographs for this project!

Thanks a lot, Roger! Well done! This will be very handy and enjoyable for
travelers, including for those of the virtual sort. Most people wouldn't
look for interesting sights in the neighborhood of an international airport,
and you are showing us what we would be missing in the case of Brussels
Airport.

Now, folks, don't feel intimidated by the thoroughness and length of Roger's
contribution. We'd welcome travel pages even if they are far less elaborate.
Help with English, editing etc. is available. Please write to me if you have
any questions about this.

At the bottom of Roger's page you will find a link to the following page: <
http://pbase.com/regi281155/steenokkerzeel>. It is a stunning art
photography exhibit focusing on Steenokkerzeel and its immediate
surroundings. Talking about "beautiful Lowlands" ...!

Enjoy!

Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
