I (just) passed the Scottish Citizenship test posted by Tom Mc Rae
< t.mcrae at uq.net.au <t.mcrae at uq.net.au>> (my husband did slightly better).
WELL DONE.

I have a different answer for 6 _ in a Scottish fish and chip shop you
can get fish suppers, or haggis suppers, or deep fried mars bars or pies
that look as if they are made from cardboard, but taste slightly better,
with a gob of something that you guess may once have been a sheep
inside.

re those pies you failed to mention the grease from the deep fryer
emananting from the slit cut in them prior to frying.
One can also buy (deep fried) black, white, and red pudding suppers, deep
fried pizza suppers, and in some a
weird deep fried fruit pudding.
I'll give you full points.

Oddly enough, fish and chip shops in England sell fish and chips (no
meal qualifier) and pies. Which taste worse than Scottish pies look.

Aye but those pies come direct from the oven and are never deep fried.
Many English chip shops also serve pease pudding in a paper poke and
saveloy sausages (tasteless) to dip into the mix.

Not sure if that qualifies for the ten points, or not.

13. Does Jock count?

NO ! Generally used by non Scots although some Scots will use Joack.
Jimmy dominates.

Husband quibbled over the cathederals question: he says that it _was_ a
cathedral, which is why it's now in the care of Historic Scotland.

Popularly known as such even by Edinburgh's population but they are so
ignorant of much of their City.
Presbyterians have neither cathedrals nor bishops and in the Episcopalean
faith a bishop's usually has his cathedral.
