Dear colleagues,

I¹m investigating address forms in Afrikaans and, for some reason, I can¹t
find any recent publications on the sociolinguistics of address in this
language. Since I assume that the usage patterns will have changed due to
the political changes in South Africa after 1994, I¹d be very grateful if
anyone could point me to relevant publications!

Many thanks in advance.

Horst

Hello, Horst!

Welcome to Lowlands-L and its vocal gallery! It is nice to "meet" you.

I hope people will be able to point you to relevant material. I do know that
explanations of Afrikaans forms of address can be find in textbooks. I have
not come across academic articles about it and would be interested in that
myself.

Best regards,
Reinhard/Ron
