Na een paar dagen "off line" kwam ik weer bij de Lowlands List terecht en
las daar het nieuws van Ron's medaille.

Veels geluk, dit kom u toe, en nie vorentyd nie!

So tussen hakies kan ek nie anders as in Afrikaans die nodige gelukwens
toerig nie, liggende die aansien wat die Taal geniet in die mening van Sy
Erewaardige die Vlaamse Minister Bert Anciaux!

Ek moet byvoeg sy opmerkings in Afrikaans verband verklik twee punte:
Eerstens sy ongetwyveld landurige kennis van LL-L se hoedanighede: En
tweedens sy mening, reg geskat na myne, dat u sy ingedieptheid in ons
Afrikaans deel.

Ek kan dit kwalik glo u self is nie op Afrikaanse bodem gebore en geskore
nie.
