Jonny asked how to banish the November-ghosts

Be multi-cultural and find something/one to celebrate once a week !

1. Celebrate 5th November Guy Fawkes Night: lots of fireworks, big bonfire,
baked potatoes and sausages. ( a bit late? Not really - many people will be
celebrating on Saturday 8th. I heard lots of fireworks going off to-night
(Friday)

2. Look foward to celebrating Thanksgiving. big Turkey and all the trimmings
and pumpkin pie! Mmmmm

3. Celebrate St Martins: lanterns and lights and perhaps roast chestnuts and
sweets

4. Fill the blank in the last week by searching for a similar celebration
somewhere round the world! Any offers, anybody?

That will bring you to December when you can start with St Nicholas' Day and
celebrate once a week every week through to New Year.

That should keep you 'cheer'ful, beste Jonny!

;-)

Good suggestions from Ze Hezza above.

Allow me to add the following:

Nov. 9: Berlin Wall Opening Day

Nov. 18: Mickey Mouse's Birthday

Nov. 29: International Computer Security Day

It is also highly important to note that the second week of November
is National
Split Pea Soup Week in the USA.

And if all else fails, think of the fact that this is the season to start
eating massive amounts of kale. It's a traditional Lowlander's heaven. I
have already ushered in the season thusly, being no mean kale cook myself.

Cheer up!

Reinhard/Ron
