Beste Lowlanders,
I wonder if any of you on OS X (Apple) and using Mail.app as a client are
still experiencing encoding problems.
No matter what I do, on my system every diacritic remains unreadable, the
problem has persisted since late January. Moreover, this only happens with
Lowlands-mail, mail from other sources with non-English characters is
perfectly readable. Even more puzzling, when I save a Lowlands-message with
Mail.app and then open it later on with Thunderbird or Entourage, everything
is fine.

After sending the raw headers of a Lowlist-message to an Apple-expert I was
told that:

The message you sent looks like it was UTF-8 to start, then translated into
MacRoman, then resent as UTF-8.

*Maybe this information can help the tech-savvy among us to find a solution.

**Oh yes, the reason cannot be a garbled .plist, I setup a guest account and
the problem was still there.
