I think it is not your heritage that matters so much as the loyalty you feel
to land you live in... and Englishman can be more Irish than an Irishman,
and vice versa..

It is not generally known that two of Scotland's greatest activists, Wendy
Wood and Sir Compton Mackenzie were English.

So also were at least two of the naughty people who took our Stone of
Destiny back home.
