Folks,

Here is a piece of literature on video in which Scandinavia meets the
Lowlands:

It is a Norn ballad written down in 1774.

What is nice is that the Norn text and English subtitles are shown in this
video.

As many of you probably know, Norn is an extinct Scandinavian language of
Scotland’s Shetland Islands. Today’s Shetland Scots, which may well be
considered separate from other forms of Scots, has Norn substrata.
