And, as it is ALSO Republic Day here in india, ...

Jai Hind! jai Hind! Jai Hind!

O! Dispenser of India's destiny, *thou art the ruler of the minds of all
people*[8] <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jana_Gana_Mana#cite_note-7>
Thy name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, the Maratha country,
in the Dravida country, Utkala and Bengal;
It echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas,
it mingles in the rhapsodies of the pure waters of Yamuna and ganga
They chant only thy name.
They seek only thy auspicious blessings.
They sing only the glory of thy victory.
The salvation of all people waits in thy hands,
O! Dispenser of India's destiny, *thou art the ruler of the minds of all
people*
Victory to thee, Victory to thee, Victory to thee,
Victory, Victory, Victory, Victory to thee!

(National anthem; poem by Rabindranath Toagore, only person i know of who
was author of national anthems of TWO different countries : India and
baangladesh!)

Thanks a lot, Mike. My bad to forget this.

So also from me "Happy birthday, Mother India!"

Thanks also for the Bengali words and the English version of the anthem,
Mike.

Which reminds me ... We could do with a Bengali version of the Wren, and of
course at least one South Asian English version. Thanks to my friend
Muhammad Suleiman, we have versions in other languages of Southern Asia. But
there's so much more!

Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
