Urdu, Kannada

are Deaf and read Hindi at best.

Is that STANDARD Hindi ... of Bombay Hindi, which is a mix of almost
everything under the sun...

Okay. Half the people I KNOW are Parsis or Gujarati Jains ... shucks!

So that leaves Maithili, Marathi, Newari and Oriya ... plus ISL from MY
list.

And JSL, and as you remind me, da kine pidgin story.

SHOULD keep me busy and out of communal riots for a while.

Hmmm, does that mean that PEACE has gone out of fashion like bell-bottoms
and mood rings?

Oh, noo, noo, noo, Mike! There's no striking off lists here, because there's
no duplication, and there's no end to my greed. For each language, even for
each dialects, there's the motto "The more the merrier." So don't you dare
cross out anything, Mister!

In addition to what you listed, I'd like to see at a minimum the following:

Assamese, Awadhi, Balochi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Brahui, Deccan, Divehi,
Dzonkha, Garhwali, Gondi, Haryanvi, Kanauji, Kashmiri, Kharia, Konkani,
Kurukh, Lepcha, Magahi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marwari, Naga (any), Pali,
Parsi, Sanskrit (oh, pretty please!), Santali, Sindhi, Sylheti, Tamil,
Telugu, and Tibetan.

So there!

Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
