Subject: LL-L "Syntax"

There was a thread a while ago about phrases of the type "dem Vater seine
Schuhe" and "Samuel Pepys his book" in lowland dialects and languages. It is
not confined to "Low German" dialects, however: I have before me the books
supplement of today's (25/3/09) copy of the Luxemburger Wort, which contains
a book review entitled "Dem Josy Braun säin neie Krimi". I have noticed this
turn of phrase in Luxembourgish on other occasions. Is it a borrowing from
neighbours to the north?
