Subject: LL-L "Holidays" [EN]

While NOT EXACTLY a holiday, today 30 May (am writing at 1:14 AM Indian
time!) is a day of some pride up north in THIS country (and in neighbouring
Nepal ... and I would expect in Tibet as well) ... in 1953 a Sherpa-raised
Tibetan (? the jury is NOT totally in on that issue yet) by the name of
Tensing Norgay (birth name: Namgyal Wangdi) was one of the 1st two people to
have reached the summit of the tallest peak in the world, Chomolangma
ཇོ་མོ་གླང་མ* *(aka Sagarmatha सगरमाथा -- a name which actaully did not exist
yet in 1953 / Mount Everest). The other was (Sir) Edmund Hillary.
