Beste Lowlanners,



some of you mentioned the Afrikaanse word 'Kombuistaal'.



In our regional Low Saxon we know "Köökschen-Platt" or also
'Köökschen-Düütsch", meaning a poor variety of both(!) languages - depending
on the point of view.



"Kööksch" literal is "female cook", but includes much more. A "Kööksch" was
a reliable but normallynot very well educatedmember of a household and the
very second person, after the parents, whodid theearly education to little
children.
