I’ve read the saying that ‘Norwegian is Danish spoken in Swedish’. I’ve
also read that to Norwegians and Swedes, Danes sound like they’re speaking
with a mouth full of hot potatoes.

There is a saying which sums up the Scandinavian relationships (for the
standard languages), something like to a Norwegian Swedish is a language
with a strange spelling and Danish is a language with a strange
pronunciation. It's more elaborate than that. Does anyone know it?
