I see Trudgill's discussion of this on p. 94 in my copy. I don't see the
identifications Berkshire or Norwich, so is it from your knowledge of these
places in Britain that you are able to pinpoint them or are you looking at
another page? I am so anxious to find the passage I read years ago that
stated that this is the origin of "I sez".
