The Ulster Scots Acadamy tell a story of a joint Celtic - Saxon invasion to
press out the Romans... how much truth there is in it I dont know.

Trying to find it today, their website is down!

The so-called Barbarian Conspiracy of 367CE (or thereabouts). Picts and
Scots hit the northern Roman border as Saxons hit the coast. Whether that
was just luck and opportunity, or a genuine cooperation is not clear,
though the Romans apparently were convinced it was .

All of the three language groups probably had men that had done a stint in
the Legions so communication wouldn't have been a problem.
