Subject: Wart As Verb in English

Hello Lowlanders:

I play a few word games on Twitter, and one of the words this past week was
"wart." Of course, it's a word for a growth on a person's hand or the like.

I'm sure I've heard it used as a verb. It seems like I heard it long ago
and probably from my grandmother. As a verb, it's a synonym for annoy or
pester. It could occur in a sentence as: Y'all go outside and play, you're
wartin' me to death!

Has anyone else ever heard of this usage?

Regards,

Mark Brooks
