I also have this colume. I believe that this represents a fairly close
adaptation of the Baum book, whose copyright in Russia is probably not
valid, given (a) the age of the book and (b) the 1974 US-USSR agreement.
All of this is educated guessing on my part. Truly informed opinion is
welcome. Some of the names of the characters in the Russian version are
changed, but the story line is very close.
