I haven't been following the 22nd/23rd psalm debate very closely, so perhaps
I am repeating something, but here goes: an interesting place to look at
these translation issues is in the three different translations of the psalm
written by Sumarokov, Lomonosov and Trediakovskii in the mid-18th century.
(They were written as part of a poetry competition.)  It might be
interesting to compare the versions.
