We've received a few calls about where/when the 1997 AATSEEL conference will be.
Here's the answer:

        December 27-30 (as always; same dates as MLA)
        Toronto, Canada (same town as MLA)
        Marriott Eaton Centre (nice hotel; where we were in 1993)

More details, including information on how to propose a panel or other
presentation, will be available at AATSEEL '96 (Washington, D.C.; coming up in
just a few weeks; hope to see you there).
