Dear Colleagues:

The Dept. of Slavic Languages & Literatures at UCLA is sponsor-
ing a symposium on February 16 and 17 entitled, "Textual Inter-
sections: on the Significance of Citation in Twentieth-Century
Russian Literature."  It will conclude with a memorial tribute to
Joseph Brodsky, including a reading and discussion of his most recent
verse.  Symposium activities on Friday, February 16 will be held
in the Sequoia Room (1/2) of the Faculty Center at UCLA,
405 Hilgard Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90095.  Activities on Saturday,
February 17 will be held in Kinsey Hall, Room 184. The symposium
is open to the public. Requests for additional information should
