This legislation has also been the subject of a fair amount of information
on OMRI.  It would be good, I think, if the community of Slavists in this
country, and perhaps colleagues from other countries, would issue a public
statement making clear our views on this deeply discriminatory,
anti-democratic legislation. If anyone is interested, please reply, off-list or
 on it -- I would be willing to put together a draft.
