Could someone give me some insight or sources on the history and use of -stup- vs. -shag-, particularly perestupat' vs. pereshagivat' ? Is it correct that perestupat' can be used both literally (e.g. - porog) and figuratively, as in transgression, while pereshagivat' is only used literally?
