Wait a ... minute.
Of course I had spent most of my life thinking that Scarlet Pimpernel
was a boat in a story. Of course not.  It is, rather, a weed.
Actually, Scarlet Pimpernel = Anagallis arvensis = Ochnyy tsvet
polevoy.  There appear to be other Anagallis but they are different
species, and therefore not scarlet.  To hell with Dostoevsky.
