wedding rings

I asked our local Orthodox priest yesterday, he could not explain why, but
said that "it's a tradition in Russain church". I also think that  the word
"Pravoslavny" is of the same origin as "pravy", so it could be logical to
wear the wedding ring on the "pravy" hand.
