The Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of
Toronto invites applications for a one-year contract appointment (with
possibility of renewal) in Ukrainian language at the rank of Instructor
or Assistant Professor.  The appointment will commence on July 1, 1999.
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. and have demonstrated
competence in teaching Ukrainian language from beginners'  to advanced
levels.  Ability to teach courses in Ukrainian literature and East
Slavic linguistics would be an asset.  Salary commensurate with
qualifications and experience.
