FIRST CIRCULAR AND CALL FOR PAPERS
Language, Literature, and Culture of the Slavs in the Past and Present
Poznan (Poland), September 23-27, 1999

The Third Conference on Language, Literature, and Culture of the Slavs in the
Past and Present organized by the Slavic Department of the Adam Mickiewicz
University (Poznan, Poland) will take place
om September 23-27, 1999 in Poznan, Poland

The following four sessions have been planed.

1. Slavic Languages in the 20th Century
2. Slavic Biblical Stylistics
3. Sacredness and Profanity in Slavic Literature
4. Slavic Literature, Ethnicity, Ethics

Proposals for papers concerned in any way with the four topics above should be
submitted to the AMU Slavic Department address by June 15, 1999 preferably by
e-mail (slavic at main.amu.edu.pl). Please
dicate your name, affiliation, title of the paper and the session you would
like to join. The papers can be in any Slavic language, English, French or
German.

A 30 USD registration fee is payable on arrival.
