Estetika bezobraznogo/ Aesthetics of the Ugly

adorno has a section about the ugly in his "aesthetic theory," which
might be of interest.

in his film theory he talks about "bilderlose bilder" (imagelessness
images), though i suppose this really has nothing to do with the ugly
per se....
