reissue of "Sergei Prokofiev: A Biography" by Northeastern University Press

I am very happy to announce that Northeastern University Press has just published a reissued edition of my biography of Sergei Prokofiev ("Sergei Prokofiev: A Biography"), which has been out of print for some time, with a new foreword and afterword, in paperback.

This is just in time for the new production of Prokofiev's "War and Peace" at the Metropolitan Opera which opens Feb.14, and will be broadcast on the radio Sat. March 2, and for the 50th anniversary of Prokofiev's death in 2003 (on March 5, 2003--he died the same day as Stalin).
