Tsar's hunt?

Hello all,

Does anyone know where I might learn more about the "Tsar's hunt?"  In
Zinovieva-Annibal's "The Tragic Menagerie" (Tragicheskii zverinets) wolves
are rounded up as ready prey for the "Tsar's hunt."
