"Reading and Healing" short stories?

Dear friends --

Thank you to all who answered my plea about reading and healing short
stories ... A bit tricky search, as most short stories, novels, and plot
in general involves some notion of "healing" or catharsis as Aristotle might
but it, but unfortunately few pieces question this cathartic/remedial
paradigm...
