One of our contributing authors has an epigraph from Viktor Shklovskii at
the beginning of his article that reads as follows:

The crooked road, the road on which the foot senses the stones, the road
which turns back on itself--that is the road of art.

Can any of you identify the source of the quote (and the date of the
source)?
