This is somewhat off-topic, but at some point, your student might like
to contact Nadezhda Azhgikhina or Colette Shulman at the National
Council for Research on Women
(http://www.ncrw.org/initiatives/rus_news.htm). Gender roles in the CIS
are a key item of interest at the NCRW, so one or other of them might
have suggestions, leads, and/or pointers on resources. I've only dealt
directly with Colette; she is a kind and helpful person.
